The Consequence of Loving Colton

Gr 10 Up—Milo has returned home to attend her brother's wedding. She's dateless and has a goal: to kiss Colton, the best man, for whom she has pined since middle school. Unfortunately, seeing Colton's ripped fireman's physique makes Milo tongue-tied, and in a moment of flustered self-preservation, she tells a little white lie. The resulting string of sticky lies comes to involve a gun-toting granny, a bridezilla, black eyes, and a stint in jail. Milo's best friend, Max, arrives to help her achieve her goal, but Colton discovers their plan. Game on! Slowly the truth wiggles its way to the surface in this witty romp into the world of unrequited love. Narrator Nick Podehl brings his consistently impressive talent to the table, especially as Colton and proud theater-camp alumnus Max; Amy McFadden is spot-on as exasperated love-her-or-hate-her Milo.
