Siblings Elizabeth Ann and Miss Mollie host a Christmas celebration for their friends. The girls' eight rambunctious cats crash the party, pouncing onto the sweets-laden table; all is forgiven once they settle down. The text's rhymes stumble, and the illustrations are stiff (though there's some humor in them when the cats are running amuck).
