Numerous photos and diagrams throughout the volumes support the descriptions of how each feat was accomplished. Time lines trace the stages of design and construction, but also show helpful earlier breakthroughs (for example, Galileo's sighting of Saturn in relation to the Cassini Mission). Negative impacts of the FAST Telescope and the relocation of people for the construction of the Three Gorges Dam are pointed out, in addition to the many problems in creating the joint NASA and European Space Agency (ESA) Cassini-Huygens mission. "What You Should Know" and "Quick Stats" lists at the end of each book provide a useful recap of salient points.
