Gr 5 Up—Two young hosts narrate, with expert testimony provided by doctors Jonathan Whiteson and Shobhana Gupta. The DVD has 10 chapters, each about one of the "bad things you didn't know." Topics include the increase in lethal effects of cigarettes over the years, the risk of acquiring type-2 diabetes, cancer, and heart disease, as well as the increased risk of blindness and eye disease. The risk of second and thirdhand smoke and the danger to unborn babies are exposed, and the hazards of e-cigarettes are also briefly described. As in all HRM programs, this provides an abundance of material in the teacher's resource guide, including fact sheets, information on addiction, how to quit the smoking habit, and the environmental damage caused by tobacco products, and much more. However, the video program is almost too brief, especially considering that teen interest in e-cigarettes is a growing concern. This program would be most useful to schools and organizations that will make use of the resource material, in addition to the video.—
