Gr 6 Up—Lono wears dresses and loves her palace life. Piri carries a magic sword and longs for adventure. Both are teenage princesses on the run. Accompanied by their shape-shifting fire-spirit friend, Yonder, they journey to the magical realm of Spera, meeting demons and coping with life on the road. Nine loosely sequential stories featuring these characters are each drawn by a different illustrator. Despite a wide range of artistic styles ranging from cartoony to painterly, the characters are recognizable from story to story.
