Instead of the cumbersome language of the original, the adapters paraphrase these stories as plainly as possible while still capturing Kipling's humor. Warm cartoon animals and bright colors add to the lighthearted feel of the tales. Supplementing each story are "Before" and "After" photos, facts about each animal, and Kipling's.
