K-Gr 5—The award-winning duo, Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet (aka Trout Fishing in America), are back with their latest album of story songs. They are joined by the Sugar Free Allstars on "It's Not Mud" (not everything that is brown and squishes is mud). Featuring terrific performances on guitar, banjo, upright bass, bass guitar, fiddle, violin, organ, saxophone, drums, and percussion, and with assistance from an enthusiastic children's chorus from the Leverett Singing Club, this family album will especially appeal to boys. Performing in several musical styles, including bluegrass, pop, zydeco, jazz, country western, and rock, the band's 12 original numbers are upbeat and goofy. The duo challenges listeners to sing along with their tongue-twisting "Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers." Even more disgusting and gross than moldy food is when "My Sister Kissed Her Boyfriend." Banana pandas, hippy hippos, and zombie turtles are among the many amazing animals at the "Zoo Wacky Zoo." The duo has fun with puns in "To Be a Wood Bee": "if I could, I would be a wood bee." Additional songs include "The Late, Great, Nate McTate," "Slow," "Boo," "Creepy Dead Bug," "Don't Touch My Stuff," "C-C-C-Cold Outside," and "Meow, Meow, Meow." Listeners will enjoy singing along with the silly lyrics and catchy tunes.—
