PreS-Gr 1—Framing the "Readee-oh" sounds that make up the bulk and best part of this program is a loose story of daughter and dad chatting about things to do outside and visiting the library where they meet librarian Olivia Longlife. Color washed line drawings of their interactions are accented with the words they speak spelled out. The real magic occurs when they listen to the "Readee-oh"—23 songs that feature diverse musical styles and subjects. There's the ragtime, "Juggling," and the jazzy "Juice." Piano, guitar, ukelele, and drum accompany multi-talented creator Michael Rachap and young vocalist Isabel Waters acting as dad and daughter. There's a lot of silliness built into these short songs. There is also a lot of learning going on, in addition to the read-along words featured in each number. The songs address telling time, the alphabet, addition, pronouns, the longest word, days of the week, and months of the year. Footage of Rachap playing and singing, along with photos and graphics related to the expansive subject matter make for an interesting presentation. This creative production offers an exceptional, fun learning experience.—
