Featuring traditional songs from China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Tibet, Elena Moon Park does an excellent job of combining the native languages with English as well as traditional instruments with more contemporary ones. Joined by over 35 musicians including Dan Zanes and a chorus of children, each song is carefully crafted to encompass the essence of the culture from which it comes and also appeal to a modern audience. This CD would be a welcome addition to classroom lessons on East Asian countries and cultures or for Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month celebrations.
