Professor Astro Cat and friends often break the fourth wall and ask questions about the text and illustrations. Glossary words are printed in boldface and the “did you know?” sections feature facts that beg to be shared with others. The end of this aquatic journey educates readers about human actions that are a threat to the ocean but also offers methods to practice ocean conservation (recycling, sustainable eating, reducing one’s carbon footprint).
