PreS—Gr 3—Key Wilde and Mr. Clarke take the traditional mold for children's music and turn it on its head with their newest album. Many of the numbers are driven by punk or rock influenced vocals that make songs like "Pleased to Meet You," "Animal Alphabet," "Bigga Bagga" and "Trondaxx Berserker" exciting. Silly lyrics and story songs such as "King of the Town," where the main character misses the election but ends up being elected king of the town, add another layer of fun to the mix. Sprinkled throughout are gentler songs such as "Lazy Raisins" and the Beatles-esque "Take Ten." While the vocals are strong and the lyrics enjoyable, the youngest listeners may have some trouble properly hearing all of the words in the harder driving tunes. A unique musical adventure and a solid addition to children's music collections.—Veronica De Fazio, Plainfield Public Library District, IL
