Peppa Pig; her younger brother, George; and Mummy and Daddy Pig have adventures that include a trip in a spiffy car with many gadgets and taking a bicycle outing as a family. In one episode, vocabulary words such as "easel" and "canvas" are taught. Peppa does have a bit of attitude, but Mummy and Daddy Pig are patient. The fine narration is performed with charming British accents. Kids may learn some Britishisms—pram and ice lolly, for instance. The animation is rather simple, but cute. This DVD shows women in a variety of roles, such as station captain and veterinarian. These five-minute episodes feature gentle lessons taught with lots of family time and giggling.—C. A.
