PreS-K—British import and cartoon star Peppa Pig returns to the page in another adventure. When a large rainstorm passes through overnight, the piglet and her family eagerly await the next day's muddy puddles. Instead, the town is flooded, and they take advantage of Grandma and Grandpa Pig's arrival in a boat, delivering supplies to stranded neighbors. Their community-mindedness is rewarded the following day when the waters recede, leaving a puddle large enough for everyone to enjoy. The strongest elements of the television show-brightly colored digital animation and a deft mix of dialogue and exposition-provide great read-aloud potential. Adults who enjoy doing character voices will have a field day with the cast of characters. Despite the stylized font, the text, which is placed on solid backgrounds, is simple enough for beginning readers. A charming addition.—Rebecca Dash Donsky, New York Public Library
