Fox thinks this book needs more pizzazz and launches a series of wild adventures. In fact, every spread shows the fox commandeering the story and Lento trying to get it back. Bright blocks and simple shapes with strong lines and a stark white background give the book a very modern feel. Preschoolers will enjoy the brevity of the text and the twists in the action, while onlooking adults will focus on the interesting vocabulary and number of things for children to name as they follow the path of the plot.
VERDICT Not an essential purchase, but a unique text that’s loads of fun.
