Gr 9 Up—Kisaki and other teens use their psychic abilities to battle aliens for a secret agency. However, this is not the main story line. Secretly Kisaki is in love with her partner, Giniro, and he is in lust with her (nearly every thought of his focuses on the size and appearance of her breasts). Unfortunately, their employer forbids them from associating with one another outside of their assignments. They are not even allowed to share personal information such as phone numbers and email addresses. The author includes several side panels that rarely contribute to the story. Decent illustrations can only do so much for a graphic novel when the plot is incoherent. Is the story supposed to be about the teens' relationship (or lack of one)? Is it about battling aliens for the government? Or is it just about Kisaki's bosom?—Carol Hirsche, Provo City Library, UT
