Mack & Moxy: The Great Helpee Heroes

PreS-K—This entertaining and educational children's program features a lovable moose named Mack and an energetic, enthusiastic raccoon, Moxy. In each episode, Mack and Moxy, together with a helpful friend, played by a young child, set out on a new adventure to HelpeeLand to find and rescue a Great Helpee. Along the way they meet a new "friend-in-need" and discover the joy of assisting others as well as learning the importance of compassion and charity. Following each "mission" is a short segment that introduces children to some of America's leading nonprofit organizations, including Save the Children, the American Red Cross, Feeding America, and the World Wildlife Fund. These brief spots point out to children that there are lots of ways they can be a Great Helpee and make a difference in their own world. This DVD features 3-D animation, live-action puppets, child-friendly humor, upbeat music, and celebrity appearances by Josh Duhamel, Kal Penn, and Eva LaRue. It originally aired on PBS.
