Luke does a great job becoming a gardener, with just one bump in the road, and is able to appreciate his harvest and their teamwork. This oversize picture book with lovely soft watercolor illustrations makes it great for sharing during storytimes and one-on-one. Adorable endpapers give a recap of a story.
VERDICT An appealing intergenerational tale that teaches important life skills like persistence, responsibility, and patience.
