Love Is Plural

PreS-Gr 4—This set by children's music group Always Saturday successfully melds reggae and calypso beats with pop music to create a unique collection of songs that leave listeners longing to stroll on a sandy beach and play in the waves. The first disc contains nine original numbers, beginning with the child friendly introduction to Bob Marley in "A Guy Named Bob" and then sweetly sliding into "Big Kahuna" and the title track, "Love Is Plural," before ending with an electric guitar driven version of "I Can See Clearly Now." This talented group of musicians, led by Donny Todd, keeps audiences swaying and singing along to the very end. Disc two features nine original spoken-word stories that complement each of the songs. Featuring original characters that add depth and back story to the songs, background music, and a full cast, this disc may be enjoyed on its own or in conjunction with the first one. The soothing songs and gentle stories will have listeners of all ages dreaming of warm, sunny places.
