The lack of back matter limits the set's use for report writers and classrooms trying to learn about the elements of nonfiction. However, established fans will pore over the energetic texts. For example, readers can learn about the San Antonio Spurs's "Twin Towers," David Robinson and Tim Duncan, and how they worked together toward a championship. Color photos (most of them action shots) illustrate the pages, and the simple, large font texts could draw in reluctant readers. News for the teams is current through 2012.
