K-Gr 2—Narrated by Elaine Claxton, these six whimsical countryside tales include "The Squirrel, the Hare and the Little Grey Rabbit," "How Little Grey Rabbit Got Back Her Tail," "The Great Adventure of Hare," "The Story of Fuzzypeg the Hedgehog," "Squirrel Goes Skating," and "Little Grey Rabbit's Christmas." Reminiscent of Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit stories, this collection is ideal for families, appealing to the nostalgia of older generations. Some of the vocabulary used doesn't align with the interest level of the stories, but with adult guidance, young listeners shouldn't have much trouble.
VERDICT While not an essential purchase for children's audio collections, this could be paired nicely with the physical book.
