PreS-K–Cousins, of Maisy renown, is back with Little Fish exploring opposites in the ocean. The illustrations are full of bright colors with black outlines. Most but not all of the opposites presented are clearly understood. The young seahorse babies are contrasted with the old turtle who is illustrated with lines for bags under the eyes and two lines for wrinkles on the neck.

VERDICT For fans of Cousins’ work this will be popular but the opposites presented are not wholly conventional.
