PreS-Gr 3—It has been well worth the wait for the fourth album by the Seattle-based kindie band, The Not-Its! These 11 original rocking pop tunes provide non-stop movement and activity for kids and parents alike. Lyrics focus on child-centered themes such as having excess energy ("KidQuake!"), wanting to go outside to skate ("Let's Skateboard"), managing a frenetic schedule and running late ("Busy"), and playing games ("Full Tilt" and "Rock, Paper, Scissors"). Serious topics are covered in "Temper Tantrum" (about a little brother's behavior), "Operation Cooperation" (working out differences among classmates), "Tarantula Funeral" (grieving the loss of the class pet), and "Participation Trophy" (a celebration of playing a sport, even when you come in last). The Not-Its! draw the album to a close with a tune to listen to when you're down because "The Not-Its! Love You." Perfect for family trips, as the rocking tunes will seem to get you to your destination very quickly.—
