PreS-Gr 5—Boulder, CO-based performers Kagan and Doughty continue exploring science and nature on their fourth CD, filled with 23 original songs. They kick it off with "Get Outdoors!," sing songs about bats hanging in caves ("Bats [Oh Baby!]"), birds ("Why Do Birds Sing?," "Meadowlark"), bugs ("A Conversation Between an Entomologist and an Insect"), and using one's brain ("Nature's More Complicated Than I Thought!," "Horse Up in the Clouds"). They also touch on topics such as geology in "Tectonic Throwdown" and climate change in "Renewal & Loss." Librarians will especially enjoy "Story Hour at the Library." Filled with joy and enthusiasm, this album will be a lively addition to science-related programs.—
