The author combines basic line drawings on full-bleed pastel colored backgrounds with simple text to demonstrate the often serendipitous surprises that can come with discovering shadows in various shapes and forms. Illustrations whimsically demonstrate how shadows can constantly change depending on timing, location, and what is around us.
VERDICT An additional purchase, this book would be useful for those looking for a science-based preschool story that invites real-life exploration.
