PreS-K—Sukey Molloy presents 16 original and two traditional songs with additional lyrics on her third album for children. Her vocals are perfectly suited to these simple folk songs. Sukey and guest musicians give excellent performances on keyboards, guitar, mandolin, violin, bass, flute, and percussion. Several numbers include sound effects, such as running water and animals sounds. Her folk-style melodies are bright and bouncy; several have a polka beat, and one has a lovely calypso tune. "I Put My Scarf on My Head" has participatory movements for use with scarves. "Action Chant," a cappella with a bass beat, encourages listeners to follow along with the actions. "My Head Goes Round" and "I'm a Baby Hippo" also encourage participation. "Raindrops" starts out with a soft folk sound, and then segues into a lively klezmer piece for jumping in puddles. "Counting Song" encourages listeners to count from one to ten in English, Spanish, French, German, and Japanese. Among the other songs are "Jack and Jill," "It's Snowing," "Little Dance" (instrumental), "Be Happy Don't Worry," "I Saw a Duck," "Water Flowing Over," and "Little Boy Blue." Not only is this a very happy album, it will also be a terrific resource for library story time or classroom use.—Beverly Wrigglesworth, San Antonio Public Library, TX
