Gr 4—7—Denise wonders why it is difficult to get along with some people. Her blog is the vehicle for three brief, believable scenarios which are briefly discussed and then repeated with the conflict resolved. In "Respect Others," three girls are supposed to work together on a fund-raiser for a local charity, but things go wrong when Linda dominates. A replay shows the girls working together, respecting each other's ideas, and being honest. "Listen Up, Talk It Out" takes place at the movies. Angela is angry with her friends, but the misunderstanding is cleared up when the girls begin to communicate with each other. In "Compromise," Mike invites three friends over, but he has only two controllers to play video games. One friend feels left out and wants to go home until they arrive at a compromise. The main points are repeated several times and shown in print. This low-key, high-quality live-action presentation will be useful in elementary and middle school collections.—Mary Jean Smith, Southside Elementary School, Lebanon, TN
