Gr 4–7—Eleven-year-old Amelia is back. In the midst of cheerleading practice and making viral videos with her superhero club, she learns that her Aunt Tanner has gone missing. Our heroine takes action, hatching a plan to find Tanner and bring her back. Rhonda comes along for the ride, further developing their friendship. The two manage to track down Amelia's aunt and make her realize that she is loved. There's a good dose of snark that may go over the heads of readers, and some silliness, but there's also a lot of heart in these pages. Amelia's world is portrayed with a refreshing honesty, full of very real emotions and modern situations. The loose, full-color illustrations have an inviting comic-strip feel. Characters are introduced in the front of the book, allowing readers to pick right up with the story. Life isn't simple, and everyone makes mistakes.
