Gratitude Attitude

PreS-Gr 4—The latest entry in Recess Music's "Best Foot Forward" series tackles the subject of thankfulness. As with the previous albums, the songs are performed by stellar children's artists such as Bill Harley, Cathy Fink, and Red Grammer. Covering a wide variety of musical genres, each tune has its own flavor, whether it's polka, swing, folk, or blues. Topics range from writing thank you letters and saying thank you to showing appreciation and gratitude to having good manners. Also included is a lovely song, "Thank You World," which is a tribute to all of the beauty that nature provides. In today's fast-paced, high tech world, the message of taking the time to say thank you and always putting your best foot forward is one that can't be repeated enough. Although each song has a message or a lesson for listeners, none of them are didactic. This album will best be used in the classroom or a family setting where the subjects of each song can be discussed.
