PreS-Gr 2—The second recording from the San Francisco-based Alphabet Rockers continues their high energy mix of pop, hip hop, and R&B music that teaches concepts. The 16 original tunes and lyrics are easily learned, largely due to infectious rhythms. Highlights include "The Senses" (a techno pop number divided up into five songs, each about a different sense), "Dynamite" (a high octane rock/hip-hop mix about body parts and exercise), "Friends" (an R&B song about being a good friend), "You Can Write" (a hip-hop tune of encouragement to be a writer), "Food Song" (a novelty number that includes snippets of songs about food and eating), and "Food Calculator" (a song about what to add and subtract from your diet).
