Gr 2—3—These standard introductions to a group of apparently randomly selected animals offer attractive photos, but also deliver an informational load that is light at best and only occasionally contains such intriguing tidbits as the fact that okapis can clean their ears with their tongues. The volumes will work where additional material about the creatures is needed; the exception is Porcupines, in which a map that only shows North and South America accompanies the claim that the creatures "live all around the world."
