Gr 6 Up—Endurance, reliability, and teamwork are the ingredients that help athletes succeed. The same skills transfer to school and the workforce. Being a member of a team helps the participants now and throughout life. In this production, former athletes explain how being on a team has improved their lives. It begins with an interesting montage of words like endurance, reliability, and teamwork which are crucial to success in the sports and the business world. Then, former and present athletes who are seated speak about how being an athlete has helped them succeed in the business world and in life. Most teens will not be familiar with the athletes: Jaci Vossen, Anne Thompson, Ron Johnson, Vivian Jenkins Nelsen. The production, which is very slow moving and heavy in dialogue, will not hold the attention of viewers.—
