Environmental Protection

Gr 4–6—These well-designed titles present overviews of important national and global issues and their effects on current world development, especially in the United States. Environmental Protection provides information about how human activities impact the environment, especially global warming. Hydrofracking discusses the advantages and disadvantages of this method of extracting petroleum and natural gas, by pumping water and chemicals deep below the Earth's surface. Renewable energy sources are discussed as alternatives to this practice. Internet Inventors explains how technologies, especially the Web and wireless applications, are changing society.
