El encantador de pájaros

As she works without stopping, the days pass, with her source of comfort and happiness away from work being her beautiful black and white cat, Max. When Max is not there to greet her one day, she is devastated. She comes to realize that she has been working every day without looking at her surroundings, such as the bakery nearby with delicious breads. At last she notices the bird who has been watching her and begins to follow. The bird leads her to a beautiful tree where the young woman finds an incredible surprise. Vibrant illustrations depict the young woman’s home and the streets she travels through in Paris as she goes to and from work, and show the seasons pass around her. The unique narrator, a clever and insightful bird, provides his viewpoint of what is happening in each spread and conveys to readers the message that life is in the present.
