Each event is shared in simple detail, giving the book a gentle feel that makes it perfect for cuddled-up sharing. Hunt’s realistic illustrations are detailed and feel like springtime; however, there is not much diversity in the characters. The end of the book includes directions for a few Easter activities that readers can do, such as dyeing eggs and creating an Easter tree.
VERDICT This quiet story is a suggested purchase for those who already have a following for Alsdurf’s other holiday books, or who are in need of a simple, cozy Easter title.
