PreS-K–First seen in Kitties on Dinosaurs, the dinosaurs and the kitties are back and hoping for a play date. It begins when the dinosaurs are bored and think fun is to be had by visiting their feline friends on their nearby island. A series of misadventures ensue as feline play isn’t the same as dinosaur play, and the kitties recognize that they need to alter their notions to make the day fun for everyone. All ends well and young children will enjoy the mishaps and high jinks and perhaps take into consideration the feelings of others when playing. Children will enjoy interpreting the illustrations and bring their own takes to what is unfolding.
VERDICT Charming illustrations partner well with a simple story of playtime. Add this wherever the previous volume is popular.
