PreS-K–This peculiar picture book asks children to consider what dinos might drive. Every spread shows a different dinosaur driving a different vehicle. Many of the dinosaurs are also wearing clothes. There is a page of facts about dinosaurs at the end of the book and a list of questions prompting creative thinking about dinosaurs and vehicles. There is no narrative and readers are left to guess why each dinosaur was selected for each particular vehicle.

VERDICT Except for the kids who are equally car-and-dino obsessed, this is a near-perfect pass.
