PreS-Gr 3—Orange Sherbet, a trio of professional musicians from the Bay Area, offers a collection of songs unlike any other. The emphasis of the 17 numbers on this album is healthy food and eating locally. Far from being didactic, each song is given its own unique style, from jazzy to pop, or kid friendly rap to spoken word, while extolling the virtues of each season and the wonderful plants and animals that flourish during that time in a most entertaining way. Children will have fun trying to guess who is eating the various fruits and vegetables from the garden in "Who," talking about their favorite breakfast foods after listening to "Waffle Day," and laughing along during the hunt for truffles in "Catch That Pig." Parents will find this collection fun to listen to and a great jumping off point for discussing healthy eating, while educators may find it helpful when presenting units on nutrition and MyPlate, the new dietary guidelines. A welcome addition to collections.—Veronica De Fazio, Plainfield Public Library, IL
