PreS-Gr 4—This faith-based series features animated young friends in humorous episodes, with titles such as "Exscream," "Mysterious Benecrafter," "Night of the Living Christ," "Plentiful Pardons," "Worryship," and "Nazareth Now." In each, the kids learn a valuable lesson, handled with subtlety, about such issues as generosity, forgiveness (how it isn't always easy to give), sharing, trust, repentance, and justice. Included are many Bible verses from the Old and the New Testaments. The voice-over acting is very convincing, and the animated children are often set against a real background: inside a church or a house or outside on the street.
VERDICT Parents and Sunday school teachers will find these episodes useful to reinforce moral lessons.
