Gr 7 Up-The iconic film and board game has been cleverly translated to the comics format. Readers will recognize the classic characters by name and the weapons available in the mansion, but the work has undergone a massive makeover. The cast is more diverse, and the setting is present day. The narrator, the butler Upton, leads readers through the story as Mr. Boddy is found dead at his own dinner party, and, as with any good murder mystery, everyone is a suspect. Young adults, especially reluctant readers, will devour this briskly paced work. The art is rendered in classic comic book-style and in full color. This volume contains bonus content, including alternate pages that were published in the individual issues, offering readers even more clues to ponder.
