Gr 5–9—A diverse group of students explore various forms of cheating, what leads students to cheat, and ways to avoid it. Dramatized scenarios portray types of cheating including copying a friend's homework, plagiarism, cheating at a sport, and being pressured to share answers to a test. After each vignette, the student's choices and consequences are outlined by the moderator. Viewers are given valuable tools for resisting the pressure to cheat, such as asking teachers, guidance counselors, parents, or coaches for help; limiting extracurricular activities to avoid falling behind in school work; being up-front with teachers; following the rules; and understanding the values that are important to them. A PDF file of teacher resources is included. This engaging, contemporary presentation would be a useful starting point for class discussions.—Lisa Hubler, Charles F. Brush High School, Lyndhurst, OH
