Gr 3 Up—Grammy award-winning Dean Jones leads the band Dog on Fleas in 14 humorous songs. Except for the bass and the theremin, the instruments are non-electric. The band utilizes several musical styles: jazz, sea shanty, circus tune, march, and folk, with three of the songs sounding quite discordant. Songs such as "I Must Be a Genius," "If I Were You I'd Give Me a Kiss," and "High School Reunion" seem aimed at older students than the rest of the album. "High School Reunion" is a spoken piece in which a couple of reunion attendees recognize former classmates and recall their names, which include Joe King, Amber Dextrous, Sam Witch, Dan Singmachine, Telly Phone, Luke Overhere, April Showers, Eileen Dover, Ben Tover, and other silly monikers.
