Gr 2–4—The BroBots and their cousins Barbara AnnDroid and Mary AnnDroid have big plans to attend a pop concert on the moon. When the bus to the moon leaves without the robot brothers, they combine into one larger robot and fly there. Once they arrive, they have a bigger issue—the performer Starlite seems to have been poisoned. ("Houston, we have a bro-blem!" is just one of many bro puns tucked into these pages.) A bit of fairy-tale lore comes in handy to rescue the pop star, and the AnnDroid sisters have their chance to shine, too. The kid-friendly punch lines will elicit giggles, and the bright artwork, with anime-style panels, is highly appealing.
VERDICT Parents might enjoy reading this title one-on-one with children, though kids are certain to eat this up on their own. A good purchase for comic collections.
