Gr 3–6—Teachers love interesting, fun, short educational videos to introduce or enhance classroom content. This is an excellent place to turn. Four video segments, each from 3 to 10 minutes, deal with different scientific topics. "Reason for the Seasons" nicely explains why we have seasons, using excellent animated graphics. "Mom, Laundry, Computers, Aliens!" focuses on weathering and erosion. "Swimming for Science" clearly introduces the scientific method. Then a game show offers information on renewable and non-renewable natural resources. Each segment is hosted by, and features, ethnically diverse children from third to eighth grade. They perform with natural charm and lots of kid-friendly humor. Crisp, eye-catching videography, fast-paced action, and solid information combine to make this a winner. Bonus features include "Reason for the Seasons" in Spanish, a short clip of tricks to use in multiplying by 9s, and more. Children and teachers will enjoy this excellent program and look forward to other titles in the series.—
