Boogaloo Zoo

PreS-Gr 3—As part of Mr. Billy's "12 CDs in 12 months" project, Boogaloo Zoo features a collection of animal themed songs that will keep children entertained. The majority of the rock numbers are originals written by Mr. Billy, but all of them have clever lyrics about things such as a porcupine petting zoo and Desert Thunder, the tortoise who clocks a 40 minute mile. Other songs encourage listeners to waddle like a penguin and to guess which animal needs things like a really long scarf and very large ear muffs. Also included are classic tunes such as "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," "Crocodile Rock," and "Freebird," which is introduced by a spoken story about a girl who nurses a bird with a broken wing to health and sets it free.
