Gr 6–9—Sophia and Ava London have left their old lives behind and have become part of the glamorous Hollywood celebrity scene thanks to their makeup and fashion tips blog. The girls have the opportunity to have their very own cosmetics line, but the fabulous life comes with a big price. Kate Rudd does an admirable job of giving each character in Fowler's novel (St. Martin's Griffin, 2012) an individual voice using pitch and pacing. The music choices meld perfectly with the hip Hollywood tone of the well-paced story. The girls struggle with romantic entanglements, trying to start up their new cosmetics line, and most importantly, keeping their sisterly bond intact. This frothy fun concoction, with no gratuitous sexual content, has a cliff hanger ending that hints at the fact that the London sisters' drama is far from over.—
