The vehicles explored within each title are chronologically ordered, providing a cohesive look at how each one has evolved over the years. The language is technical but concise. Full-color cross-sections help readers visualize the inner workings of these large crafts, although the lack of a scale to demonstrate the relative size of these crafts is disappointing.
VERDICT These are sound choices for kids who are not quite ready for the level of detail in the Stephen Biesty books.
