PreS-Gr 3—On his fourth children's album, Mr. Richard (Richard Peeples) and the Pound Hounds perform 12 original songs. This kiddie rock band keeps things upbeat and fun while singing about things like the good towels that are in everyone's home that no one is supposed to use unless they are company and the embarrassment of having your mom sing at the top of her lungs while in the car, with the windows down. The album's opener, "Kids Gotta Rock!," will have children up and dancing, while the "5-Second Rule" will have them challenging their parents every time they drop a cookie or piece of pizza on the ground. A highlight of the album is "The Groundhog's Lament," a very clever tale about Groundhog's Day from the animal's point of view.
