Child reaching far.” The bundle that is the baby is shown in the loving arms and gaze of those who parent him on every page. The illustrations have an ease in the placement of color and line that gives this verve; older readers will want to examine every scene.
VERDICT Taking time for sweet domestic scenes, the Pinkneys bring reassurance to an ordinary day, and toddlers will feel embraced.
