Baby-Toddler–A “BabyLit” must have for board book collections and first exposure. B Is for Bison is bold and colorful, and it is bound to be enjoyed by the tiniest of onlookers as well as their adults. A trip through many national parks provides context for the incredible resources that exist in the United States. As the book walks lapsitters through the alphabet, each letter is matched to a national park with a label and a highlight of a specific scenic location in the park. Bright colors entice the youngest eyes, and a mostly racially diverse set of characters are represented, though not those with physical challenges.
VERDICT A great title for nature lovers and budding readers, and for any library serving the tiniest of patrons.
