Gr 1–3—Misguided choice of verb in the title notwithstanding, this series delivers a thorough introduction to the major elements and rules of the English language. Thoughtfully and, at times humorously written (Punctuation emphasizes the importance of spaces with "ifyoudontleavespaceswritinglookssilly"), speech-bubble like text boxes and cartoon characters give the books an informal, comic-book feel, making the fundamentals of sentence structure, word usage, and grammar palatable, if a bit distracting.
